Symphony Space Upcoming Plans:

What's going on at Symphony Space?

The 2000-2001 season will begin in September 2000, and will continue with hundreds of music, dance, film, literature, and children's programs through June 2, 2001. The construction of the twenty-story apartment building above Symphony Space will be completed by January 2001, beginning a six-month construction hiatus.

Starting in the summer of 2001, Symphony Space will undertake its own six-month construction project that will entail rebuilding the Thalia theatre; connecting the Thalia and Symphony theatres; improving Symphony Space's lobby, box office, lounges, offices, and support spaces; and creating new marquees and a new street facade to unify the Symphony and Thalia complex.

The numerous improvements will result in new and expanded programming opportunities for many of our programs in future seasons.
