Bill Shannon Crutchmaster
Charismatic, one-of-a-kind, a knockout, an inspired performer - these are
just a few descriptions applied to the artistry of the CrutchMaster. Bill
Shannon has a degenerative hip and joint condition that prevents him from
putting weight on his legs. His four-legged dance style - informed by hip-hop
culture, extreme sports, and everyday use of crutches for mobility - allows
him to experiment with shifting weight just like any other dancer. He
helps us celebrate the art of the solo performer prior to Bobby McFerrin's
Marquee season opening performance.

The Black Watch: Pipes, Drums, and Highland Dancers
The Prince of Wales's Band/Choir
The Royal Highland Regiment -- otherwise known as The Black Watch--provides a
stunning display of Scottish tradition and British pageantry. This elite
machine gun battalion of the British Army regularly trades its guns for
pipes and drums and its uniforms for red hackles and black feather
bonnets, Royal Stewart tartans, sporans, and dirks to become one of its
country's premier musical ambassadors. Their performance is complemented
by another military/musical ensemble, The Prince of Wales's Band.

Angels in America
Part One: Millennium Approaches
By Tony Kushner
Henson Keys, director
This enormously theatrical work, awarded the Pulitzer Prize and numerous
Tony awards in 1993 (including "Best Play"), uses AIDS as a metaphor for
the conflicts tearing at the fabric of American society at the turn of the
millennium. In language both hard-edged and poetic, Kushner pulls no
punches in a searing, bitterly funny look at America in the age of AIDS,
Ronald Reagan, and the "me" generation.
