The Piatigorsky Foundation announces a new position:
Concert Coordinator Full-Time

Organization: The Piatigorsky Foundation is a non-profit organization that brings live classical performances into communities who could not or would not otherwise get to hear them. Since 1990, it has presented over 600 programs across the United States in retirement communities, schools, community centers, synagogues, churches, libraries, workplaces and other places where people regularly gather within their own communities. The Foundation currently presents 150 concerts in eights states each season. The person who fills this position will work closely with the Executive and Artistic Directors, a part-time Volunteer Coordinator and a roster of extraordinary musicians in a friendly, warm and dynamic office.

Annual budget: approximately $250,000

Position: The Foundation seeks a Concert Coordinator to be the principal liaison between the Foundation, concert venue and artists. The position is creative, detail-oriented and has a great deal of autonomy and potential for growth. Responsibilities include scheduling concerts with current concert venues as well as identifying and developing new concert locations; coordinating operations such as travel and lodging arrangements; compiling and distributing program and publicity materials.

Qualifications: Excellent organizational skills; energy and self-motivation; ability to manage a multi-task postition; great phone manner - this position requires extensive phone contact; good writing skills; computer literacy; familiarity with classical music and the performing arts world is helpful but not necessarily required

Compensation: $25,000 - $28,000; two weeks vacation (to start); medical benefits TBD
