Volume I Issue
3 Welcome Welcome to the third issue of Arts4All Newsletter. Alongside our Comments / Subscribe section, which provides structured ways for you to give us feedback about the Newsletter, we are very pleased to introduce another, more dynamic, way to communicate on a range of topics with the other readers. This new feature, A4A Discussions, is in the form of threaded messages, organized by topic and moderated. You'll be able to write to the other Discussion participants, read what others have written, and propose new topics. Take a look, and speak your mind. You can refer to the Limón Dance Company performance and residency schedule for the 1999 / 2000 season for information on where you may find the Limón company this season. Please contact us for information, if your organization is interested in publishing its schedule in the Newsletter. We take classified ads as well - email us at classifieds@arts4all.com for more information. We also continue with Therese Schwartz's comprehensive look at the New York City art world in the 1997 - 1998 season. Her third installment focuses on political art, sculpture, and exhibitions of work by internationally famous "icon" artists. Those of you who have been following the Newsletter so far will notice a slightly new design in this issue. We think you'll agree it's even better-looking than before, thanks to the work of Newsletter designer Jerrold Maddox. Our first and second issues are on hand, if you want to take a look. Our first Binary Billboard looks at work by New York artist Anne Kovach. Artists in all media will be featured in the Binary Billboard pages, with new ones in each issue. In forthcoming Newsletters, you'll see feature articles about computer-aided classical piano, artist profiles, and more Binary Billboards with new work from emerging composers, painters and poets. If you haven't already done so, sign up for a free subscription by going to the Comments / Subscribe page, checking the checkbox, and entering your name and email address. A subscription will ensure you receive an email from us announcing each new issue and summarizing its contents. While you are at the Comments / Subscribe page, take a moment and tell us what you think about the Newsletter. The Arts4All Basics describe the subscription process, as well. Good news: free subscriptions will continue indefinitely. Tell your friends! We invite your comments, recommendations, suggestions for articles, and other creative input. Send your emails directly to editor@arts4all.com, or use Comments / Subscribe (structured responses) and A4A Discussions (free text discussions organized in threaded, archived topics). If you would like to submit an article to be considered for publication, or if you want more information about how to apply for a Binary Billboard about you and your work, write the editor. For subscription, permissions, privacy policy, classified advertising and other basic information, see Arts4All Basics, elsewhere in this issue. |
