Waldo Wannabe and the Rainbow
by _____________________________ and Susan A. Katz
The bright, golden sky was shining like a diamond candle flame in the sky. It spilled like water honey a smile down over the mountains, meadows and gurgling rushing lazy streams, turning the whole world the color of love ripe peaches molasses .
Waldo jumped down off his porch step, and the grass still wet from last night's rain made a squishing sucking funny sound beneath his feet. He looked up at the blue great vast , blue shimmering endless sky and his eyes popped snapped burst open wide. There, curving like a half moon mother's arms half melon across the sky was the most beautiful amazing exciting rainbow Waldo had ever seen. Its colored bands of , colors colors colors , colors colors colors , colors colors colors , shimmered gaily brightly intensely in the early morning light.
All of Waldo's friends and neighbors had come out of their houses too. They gazed at the rainbow and Waldo could hear them exclaiming:
"Oh my! What a amazing incredible unbelievable rainbow!" "Have you ever seen a more brilliant dazzling spectacular rainbow?" "A rainbow like that makes my heart feel happy full like dancing !"
