Or
Find It by Keyword:
For
specific
names, words, and placenames: Type into the space provided in the
Find It form the word or words you want. When you click on "Find" the
server will survey the entire ArtsPass News, including all
previous issues
from the Archives, and display the results, each result linked to the
underlying Newsletter article or item.
Points
to consider -
Try asking for basic words first, then narrowing your query
if you get
too many results on your first try. For example, Finding
for "art" will
generate many results, while Finding for "painting" will reduce the
number of results. (This example assumes, of course, you
want to locate
articles on painting. The same principle applies generally.) If you
Find for "paint*" (this places a wild-card asterisk after
the root "paint")
your results will include articles using the term "paint," "painter,"
"paintings," "painted," etc.
The good news is: the archives server frequently maintains
and updates
its index. The bad news is: if you happen to hit "Find"
while the server
is reindexing, you may get wrong results to your query, or no results
at all. If you run into this problem, you may want to wait a minute
or two before trying your query again.
Your
own browser software has a "Find" command that will help you zero in,
within an article, to the exact query terms you want.
